Time To Catch Up On Japanese Star Wars Collectibles! Our idea? No way. Last week StarWars.com released an article on Japanese Star Wars crane game prizes. Many/most of them have already been acquired for the collection. There were, however, a couple of them that not only haven't been sought and bought, but weren't even on our collecting radar! Searching eBay.com turned up nothing. Searching auctions.yahoo.co.jp (a GREAT place to research Japanese collectibles) also yielded no worthwhile results for these crane game items. Then WE FOUND THEM. And more.

Disney is Playing Star Wars Again Today's entry into the collection is a set of five Star Wars bobble heads by Disney. Following up on their ultra-popular series of action figures last year, Disney is expanding their Star Wars line for 2008. (Does everybody 'get it' that every item in the Collection Diary is something that I have purchased myself for my own collection? Please stop emailing me asking how much I am selling this stuff for.)

One Star Wars Discovery, One Wave Completed

I keep a copy of the Star Wars Super Collector's Wish Book close at hand when surfing eBay, along with a copy of the Super Collector's Database. Between the two I'm able to determine when I come across something that had escaped my interest. In this case it's a 4-pack of mechanical pencils manufactured for Animations. School and office supplies come and go so quickly at retail that they're often missed. Since they're 'useful' items, they don't usually show up on the collecting radar or end up on auction sites. Sometimes you just get lucky.
